LTG’s TVM prefilter is used for coarse filtration. The primary airstream, carrying for example fibres and coarse particles, passes through a rotating filter screen with a mesh with opening matching the particles. The filter screen is continually cleaned by a fixed suction nozzle which does not touch the screen. The pulled off coarse particles are fed to a separator with a conveying fan in a secondary loop.
In a multi-stage dust collection set-up for large air streams a mesh screen is advantageous for large particle separation. Its characteristics are:
- high air permeability
- exact adaptation to the material to be separated with different mesh sizes
- good separation of various size particles
- low maintenance
